The tax rates were similar to the ones Gore pushed for while serving as vice president to Bill Clinton in the 1990s.
On America Live today, Fox News contributor Michelle Malkin explained that this isn’t the only example of people or organizations showing “hypocrisy” by legally avoiding the higher tax rates while supporting President Obama as he pushed for the wealthy and corporations to pay more during his reelection campaign.
She pointed out Google, a big Obama campaign contributor, the left-leaning Washington Post, Star Wars mogul George Lucas and rapper Dr. Dre as examples. Megyn Kelly pointed out the way in which the media scrutinized Mitt Romney during the campaign for using the same types of tax avoidance methods.
“It is a phenomenal hypocrisy of these Obama supporters who poured hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars over the last two campaign cycles into a candidate who has profited so much from class war demagoguery and then turned around and either looked the other way or, in some cases, facilitated or helped or even cheerleaded the kind of tax avoidance strategies that they castigate their political opponents for using,” said Malkin.
