Facebook has never been known for being friendly to conservatives, but in the last two days, many grassroots conservative bloggers have found the site even less friendly, with many reports of bloggers being blocked from posting their content.
The problem appears when Facebook decides someone is posting to different pages too fast.
Diane Sori, who blogs at the Patriot Factor, told Examiner Thursday that she received the warning before being blocked for two days. When asked, Sori said she has been blocked five or six times before.
After seeing other conservatives complain about the same thing, we decided to put it to the test.
Sure enough, after posting to a few sites, we received the warning to slow down.
We took Facebook's advice and waited a half hour to post something else. After one post, we received the message again. After inserting the code, we immediately got a message that we had been blocked for two days. We contacted Facebook about the problem, but got no response.
According to Sori, this is only happening to conservative bloggers. We spent some time looking for liberal bloggers complaining about the same thing, but did not find any.
Sori told Examiner that the "free speech Nazis" at Facebook began blocking posts after the fiscal cliff vote.
"Facebook denied us our right to free speech by NOT allowing us to post our thoughts on the Fiscal Cliff fiasco of Tuesday night," she said in a direct message. "That," she said, "was the theme our blogs had in common." More

ReplyDeleteit happens to me once a week. ive gotten used to being blocked. the work around is wait 4 hours before posting or only post in mornings and late afternoons
ReplyDeleteIt's been happening a LOT to a friend of mine on there. So far, not me, which I am surprised because I post a ton of truth about what's going on too.

ReplyDeleteUpdate 3-13-2013 The harassment continues and I am locked out again. What they do is make you pass a test to identify friends tagged in photos. Of course many tagged photos have nothing to do with the person tagged and many with hundreds or thousands of friends would not recognize every friend. That makes it easy for FB to harass and censor larger accounts. I don't believe the FB employees could be that stupid so I believe this is deliberate. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against Facebook.
This is total Bull Crap!!,,You know 'we' the people are the ones that make Facebook Popular to the point of making this guy all his money that lines his pockets,,it'd be sad if most left,,wonder how much he'd lose in his silver lined pockets then!,,last I heard Conservative money was just as good and worth just as much as the Liberals!
